BIERPINSEL

La Bierpinsel ("the beer brush"), as Berliners affectionately call the Turmrestaurant Steglitz, is a 47 meter tall concrete structure that has become a true symbol of Berlin. Built between 1972 and 1976 in brutalist style, it was designated a protected monument in 2017. Over the years, several prominent graffiti artists have painted the building's exterior as part of the Turmkunst ("tower art") project, transforming it into a vibrant example of urban pop art.
